Our Story
At Keystone, we're all about you. In 1997, a group of local investors founded Keystone Community Bank with the mission of bringing back the level of personal service and community involvement that people appreciate in a bank – a bank that understands, and is responsive to, the personal and professional needs of a growing community. Ever since, Keystone has been reconfirming the benefits of banking right here at home. In 2005, Keystone joined the Firstbank Corporation family of banks. This affiliation allows us to better serve both our customers and our communities. Our dedication to building relationships with customers, providing excellent service to our communities and improving shareholder value are all reasons why Firstbank Corporation has expanded across the state of Michigan.
Our Approach
Firstbank Corporation's organizational structure maintains community bank charters and keeps the decision-making at the local level. As a small business, we understand the needs of other small businesses. By channeling loans back into neighborhoods where our depositors live and work, we keep our community vibrant and growing. At the same time, support operations are centralized for greater fiscal and operational efficiency. With assets of $1.5 billion, Firstbank operates over 40 banking offices throughout central, southwest and northeast Michigan.
